BRIEF.
Your task is to construct a narrative based on the form of the book that presents a journey of any description from one point to another in an innovative way. You can create your book form anyway you like but it must include the following:
- Consideration of the book form – shape, size, construction
- Consideration of how you will use illustrations, typography, icons or other forms of visual communication to direct your reader and form a narrative
- A clear physical sequence that carries the reader through the journey
James curran.
At the time this project started I really struggled on what to animate or create, but after looking at twitter I saw James Curran started a new 30 day challange.
His 30 day challange is him creating a GIF once a day for 30 days, at the time he was in Tokyo so he created a GIF about his adventures in Tokyo once a day. He has done this challange before in New York thats how I noticed his work and became a fan of his style.
His designers name is SlimJimStudio and has done a lot of work for companies and products such as 'Virgin Media', 'Kokoso', 'ADCAN awards' and more.
What I love about his work is he creates these smooth and looped GIFs that sync up perfectly, his style is very clean and easy to make as well since you are just using 2D shapes.
His 30 Day challanges can be put into a book narrative very easily because he is documenting a journey, a journey of what he is doing ever day while in another country.
I may do something very similar but I will use my own journey, something I do a lot and something I can document very easily like my Day at University, my train journey to University or it could even be walking my dog.

Chris philips.
Chris Philips is another animater who has a very simmilar style to James but he has a bit more detail in his animation. He animates in the same way as James using 2D shapes to create an animation. He doesn't create GIF's as much as James does but his animations are still very clean and he uses one colour for the background of the animation.
He is a Creative Director, Animator, Illustrator and Designer from Sydney, Australia. He has 13 year of experience and has designed mobile games, created quirky characters, animated educational, corporate and campaign videos alike and designed websites.
He has worked with many brands like ebay, Intel, IKEA, MTV and many other big companys around the world.

One thing I love the most about his designs is that he is very simple, there is not that much detail in each of his drawings and his designs are very clean and easy to look at. The reason his designs are very clean is because he uses one colour for each part of the object/thing that he is drawing, and uses very sharp edges especially in the shading and lighting.
